Mr. Hofbauer has more than 25 years of experience in the renewables energy industry as an engineering and operations executive. He held technical leadership positions along the entire value chain from solar silicon, ingot, wafer, cell and module production to installation. He worked for SunPower, Sila Nanotechnologies, Silicor Materials and SolarWorld and held positions as COO, VP manufacturing and general manager. He designed, built and managed several generations of semi to fully automated production operations. Mr. Hofbauer holds an MBE from Steinbeis University in Berlin, Germany and a graduate engineering degree from the University of Applied Science in Regensburg, Germany.
